Fit 2 Recover program is open to anyone, and is taught by an Ace Certified Personal Trainer.
This class is a unique approach to overall health and wellness geared to those who have struggled with addiction. ANY addiction.
Using my experience as a personal trainer and a recovery coach I have developed a program designed for those looking to make a lifestyle change no matter how big or small. Through goal setting, wellness planning, small group training, and peer to peer support, we will help each other strive to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
We will meet 6 weeks, 2 days a week for 1 hour sessions. 20 minutes for check in on our wellness plans and 40 minutes for our exciting, never the same, non-intimidating boot camp style classes!
For our wellness workshops we will be discussing different topics such as our goals, our plans, self care, resources, coping mechanisms, resistance awareness, motivational and inspirational tools, and the power of our stories.
For our fitness classes we will be focusing on form and core strengthening (injury prevention), stretching (flexibility), cardio (endurance), resistance training (strength), and nutrition (fill in the blank!).
There have been studies that exercise is known to help combat stress, depression, anxiety, disease, and fatigue. As well as building upon confidence, mood, accountability, sense of achievement, good habit forming, and overall health and wellness.
Participants can register for a 6 PM class or 7 PM class.
Together, 4 Fit is not an option!
In the event of inclement weather that inhibits activity, you will be notified by email of that day's cancellation as early as possible. Every effort will be made to make up the missed class at the end of the program. During the winter, if Walpole Public School closes due to inclement weather, Recreation Department programs and classes will also be cancelled for the day.
Because the Recreation Department incurs expenses to hire staff, purchase supplies and materials, and contract other expenses in preparation of a program, the department cannot offer full refunds. Full credits may be issued. Partial refunds may be issued upon request, however a 20% administrative fee over the overall program cost will be deducted per registrant. The Recreation Department will not issue refunds for any credit card convenience fees incurred. No refunds or credits will be issued without 48 hours' notice prior to the start of the program.
