This program focuses on the basic skills needed to play basketball. Skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting will be introduced in a fun, non-competitive environment. Once again, we will offer two sessions of this popular program.

Each team requires a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 14

Location / Drop-off & Pick-Up
There will be a check-in Person at each gym on the first day of Basketball they will give you your t-shirt and direct you to the appropriate Gym.
• Ages 3 - 5
30 Stone Street
- Enter through the side doors and walk up stairs to the gym.
• Age 6 & 7
Fisher School (Lower Gym)
65 Gould St, Walpole, MA
- Drive behind the school to the back gym, and enter through door 6.
• Ages 7 & 8
Fisher School (Upper Gym)
65 Gould St, Walpole, MA
- Enter through the main doors of the school, left at the main office and take your first right.
Registrants will be provided with a t-shirt on the first day of the program. Please have your child wear shorts or sweatpants, sneakers, and bring a water bottle. If Bad weather outside please carry your sneakers so we don't track wet into the gym floor.
In the event of inclement weather that inhibits you and or our Coaches from driving, you will be notified by email of that day's cancellation as early as possible. Every effort will be made to make up the missed class at the end of the program. During the winter, if Walpole Public School closes due to inclement weather, Recreation Department programs and classes will also be cancelled for the day.
If the first hour of Saturday Basketball is cancelled, the entire day will be cancelled and a makeup day will be scheduled.

Because the Recreation Department incurs expenses to hire staff, purchase supplies and materials, and contract other expenses in preparation of a program, the department cannot offer full refunds. Full credits may be issued. Partial refunds may be issued upon request, however a 20% administrative fee over the overall program cost will be deducted per registrant. The Recreation Department will not issue refunds for any credit card convenience fees incurred. No refunds or credits will be issued without 48 hours' notice prior to the start of the program.
