MINDFULNESS: ANTIDOTE TO STRESS
Mindfulness is our ability to be present with what we are experiencing in an accepting way. For many of us this aspect of ourselves lies dormant within us. Life’s challenges tend to get the better of us. The daily life of parenting, relationships, challenges with work, and finances increase our stress as we never take the time to unhook. While we cope as best as we can, our patterns are very reactive and take their toll on our health and the people around us. Mindfulness teaches us how to move from reacting to responding. We learn to accept what is and address what we need to at the appropriate time. In this class we will practice a number of Mindful exercises; body scan, yoga and sitting meditation. You may also have an experience of the peace that lies within you, waiting for you to come home. Bring a yoga mat or a blanket to sit on and wear comfortable clothing.
